Friends of Faire

Friends of Faire is a fully-owned REP organization. Membership is limited to 500 people per Faire season. Friends of Faire is a Volunteer group dedicated to supporting the Cast and Crew of the New York Renaissance Faire (NYRF), enhancing the Faire experience for patrons, and assisting any Member/Patron wishing to become more immersed in the Renaissance Faire experience. An excellent starting point for further involvement, and a place to make lifelong friends who share your passion and interests!

Faire patrons, through Membership in FoF, have many NYRF-sponsored benefits and opportunities open to them. Past activities have included: Joust Cheerleading and Pennant selling; Staffing the Info Booth; Taking Exit Surveys; Providing extra help and security for Special Events; Daily Parade participation.

Requirements of Membership include donating one hour each day you are at Faire, to the needs of Friends of Faire. You may choose from a wide range of activities, including but not limited to: Opening and Closing the Garden each day, hourly Garden Monitoring, etc. This is primary to any NYRF-sponsored activities you may wish to participate in.

Some Activities require the use of period Language, and Garb. Pre-Faire Workshops are offered by NYRF, to Current Members in good standing, in Language, Improvisational techniques, costuming, and character development.

Yearly Memberships are sold beginning on Opening Day of Faire, and ending Closing Day. Memberships are sold *only* in the Friends of Faire Garden, at which time you will receive your membership Pin and Card, Complimentary Tickets, etc. We regret that we cannot accept credit cards. Membership can be purchased with cash or check only. Memberships are non-refundable. The management reserves the right to revoke memberships after due consideration.

Membership does not grant you admission to Faire. Prospective and Returning Members must have a ticket or a Queen's Pass, in order to enter Faire.
The complimentary tickets which come with your membership must be picked up in the FoF garden. They will not be held at the Box Office, nor at Will Call.
