Kids’ Quest – Brave and imaginative children are invited on an interactive fantasy adventure! Help the Faerie Folk discover the magic in their home, the Enchanted Forest.
Boffer Wars – Learn sword combat from the greatest fighters in the realm, and test your skills against our trained mercenaries!
Meet Queen Elizabeth at the Children’s Knighting Ceremony and receive your Knighthood!
The Storybook Stage – From the magical pages of the Storybook Stage spring wild and wonderful tales, told by peasants, puppets, pirates, and princesses!
Even picky eaters will enjoy chicken nuggets, quesadillas, burgers, pizza, and watermelon slices. We also offer vegan and vegetarian options, as well as gluten-free choices for those with food sensitivities. Please check with the food booth management in cases of extreme allergy. The Guardians of Sterling, our volunteer support guild, have set aside an area in their garden for any nursing mothers (and babies!) who would like the option of a quiet place away from the bustle of a Faire day. The Guardians of Sterling Garden is located on the Queen’s Highway, between the Peacock Pavilion and the Skalvik Viking Village.
Kid’s Weekend – August 17 & 18
Free admission for children 12 and under August 17 & 18. Show off your fantastic finery at the Children’s Costume Contest and win VIP seating at the 6:00 Joust and tickets to return to the Faire during the 2019 season. Meet up for a group photo afterwards!
Time Travelers Weekend – Barbarian Monday, September 2
Compete in the First Annual Kids’ Thumb Wrestling Contest! Tiny warriors are invited to join this epic battle of the thumbs! Recommended for children ages 12 and under.
Pirate Weekend – September 14 & 15
Kids’ Pirate Flag Treasure Hunt – Looking for treasure? Young swashbucklers can join in the search for hidden pirate flags throughout the Shire! Visit the Information Booth to pick up your treasure map, find the flags, and bring your completed map to Pirate’s Cove to pick your pirate treasure. Recommended for children ages 12 and under.
Masquerade Weekend – September 28 & 29
Kids’ Mask Making – Let your creativity shine! Children ages 12 and under are invited to make their own masks at the Guardians of Sterling Garden.
Celtic Weekend – October 5 & 6
Children’s Highland Games – Dress your wee’un in their finest highland regalia and let ’em loose in our special Highland Games shrunk down for the Wee Bairns! Join in the fun at the Chess Board! Recommended for ages 2-12.
